If You Wanna Be a Badger. . .

A recent Saturday spent in Madison reignited my love for my alma mater. The Badger game had just gotten out so State Street was a sea of red. The colors were changing and it was perfect sweater weather. My aunt and I spent the afternoon at the shops, some that I had been going to since I was a kid and some that had cropped up since I left for Chicago 6 years ago.

One of the new stores is the gem Anthology. It holds tons of inspiration for card making, scrapbooking and decorating. My aunt has picked me up a few gifts from this store over the last couple years including a Paris themed photo frame:
The store also carries an array of "paper packages." Sets of scrap paper, tags and buttons that flow through a common theme and can be used for any project you are creative enough to think of. I've had a Dr. Suess themed set for awhile now that still needs to find its perfect project.
I could not resist this vintage maps set when I was there last weekend. I think I need to stop buying travel themed stuff for awhile. It's built up to the point I'm going to be making "Bon Voyage" cards for people just going out to the suburbs for the weekend. . .
A wall idea I quickly cribbed included taking my 2" x 2" square cutter to a set of photos or images that make sense together. In Anthology's example the unmistakable Memorial Union chairs are featured. I made a Halloween themed framed set that I'll share later this week in my Fall Decorating post! What a great store, what a great town!
